More than just one...

Okay. So, downloading the iphone apps has made me take a lot of pictures... here's more than one for today...

Oh my striped socks... I just love them

Thurs/Fri around the studio

So I plan to post as many pictures as days I've missed of posting... life happens and so I can't always post... (however, I can say POST a thousand times...). So anyway... here are two pictures one for yesterday and one for today.
I took both photos with my new photo apps for my iphone. I'm such a nerd. I can't wait to take more more more!

Whoops!

I was so busy yesterday with all of my Women's Poetry nights and my going out to dinner with friends thing that I never posted a picture... I realize that this might happen... but hopefully I'll still be taking a picture a day and I can post when I get back to a computer... That is the plan.

Here is the picture for today... while I'm at it!

These are gnomes we made every time in our parent/child hippie class... I really tried to make them as ugly as possible because I was rebelling against the crazy. But here they are... they are a band called The Gnome Knows... the braided beard guy is the drummer who gets all the women and the other band members hate most of all- he's loud, uncouth and generally smells funny. I mentioned the crazy right?

Pop!

Okay... two pictures for today... The Bean eats POP! Pop, being her word for anything dessert related. She stuck her face into the pudding cup and so got a ring around her mouth...

Barbie cleanout

The sickness of Barbie ... I created names for all of them (see below) and I dressed them and they went to parties and then I dressed them again and they slept and I dressed them again and they woke up... I mean... I dressed them all the time. I've decided to get rid of almost all of them. The only dolls I'm keeping are my mom's Barbie (Bubble head), my stepmother's Barbie (Kirsten), a new-old Barbie (?), and one of my very first Barbie Dolls (Tropical Barbie).
This is a pretty multi-cultural group here (as far as Barbie goes)... I guess I've always loved diversity.
And now... the names (from left to right)
Back: Julie (original name: Pretty & Pink Barbie), Carol (from the Heart Family set), DJ (named for Candace Cameron's character on Full House. Also known as Angel Face Barbie), Dana (one of the Rockers), Maxie (not really a Barbie), Dee Dee (of the Rockers), Ken (California Ken... he was a douche)
Front: Dawn or Brooke (apparently she had split personality disorder... I think she was in the Rockers too), Theresa (she became one of my favorites because she wasn't blonde), Diva (one of the Rockers), Beth (Carol's twin... someone gave me the same one so they became twins).

Now I am compelled to find out the name of every Barbie that ever existed... Can I find the original pictures of the Barbie's I've owned? Do I really care? Am I that bored?

Just maybe.

365 days... a new photo every day

Yep... New project to keep motivated... I was inspired by a blog that, of course, I can't remember the name of now... but she draws monsters and I love them. She posted a new monster every day for a year...

So I will post a new picture every day. Even if it's small and silly and has nothing to do with my "work". However, I endeavor to also make more of my work so that I can feel connected to art making again.

Anyway... this was found on my desk today. Heart card from Amy. Artist tape found in my office months ago. Plastic mama slipped into coat pocket by the Bean. Here's what happened when they ended up near each other...
